Electronic fundraising has the potential to provide the school with a considerable amount of supplementary income.

All families are required to participate in at least one of the following electronic fundraisers

eScrip

Register many cards and a portion of purchases made with those cards at participating retailers will be refunded to the school.

Easy Enrollment Into eScrip

Enroll Vons discount cards, Chevron credit cards, and other credit cards for purchases at specific merchants. Remember to renew your cards every year online or call 1-800-801-4973.

1. Go to www.escrip.com.
2. Click on the 'Welcome' banner in the top center of the banner on the eScrip website
3. Select the 'Sign up' option on the left side of the banner on the next page. This will bring up the"supporter registration" form.
   Choose the circle for the 'Group ID' option. Enter the Group ID Number for CMS Lompoc (138376368) in the box next to the 'SEARCH' button. (You can either cut and paste the number into that box or enter the number directly.)
4. Press the 'SEARCH' button.
5. The next screen should show a single group for this number - CMS. You have to click on the text 'Children's Montessori School' to select the school.
6. The next screen should now show CMS as your supported school. Click the box labeled 'NEXT' near the bottom of the screen.
7. Enter your desired name, address, and e-mail information in the boxes. After everything's entered to your satisfaction, select 'Next' at the bottom of the page.
   eScrip keeps all information you enter private - no one other than the folks at eScrip see it
8. You can now enter up to four cards. Remember that with each card registered, a portion of each purchase goes to the school - no muss, no fuss.. The card most often used for donation is the VONS card (when you click on the symbol, VONS will be at the bottom of the list), but don't forget to check out the other choices. (Don't forget to enter the card number in the box.)
   If you need your Vons card number and do not know it call the Vons Customer Service Center (877.723.3929). Give them your phone number, your name and your address and they'll give you your card number.
9. Enter up to three additional cards.
10. Click 'NEXT' and you can now register up to seven credit cards of your choosing. Don't forget to register that Macy's card in the Retail Cards (that's the next screen).

DONE. You're registered. Now, as you use the cards at your leisure, the donation process begins benefiting the school and your kids.
NEED HELP? If you need help enrolling and have a couple seconds in the mornings as you drop off, Jim or Emmy Lou will be happy to help you. You can go on-line right in the classroom and get you enrolled, just bring along your Von's card.

Jog A Thon

The 21st Annual C.M.S. Jog-a-thon will be run on Sunday, October 4th , at the Ryon Park in Lompoc.
Funds raised this year will go towards Boston Children’s Museum science & art kits and our Performing Arts Program (the Chrismas Program and the Summer Play).
Participants will jog (or walk) round an eighth mile track as many times as they can during a one hour period.

Box Tops for Education

Collect Box Tops for Education from General Mills and subsidiary products or shop online at many major retailers associated with the Box Tops for Education program.

We receive $0.10 for every "Box Tops for Education" logo submitted from products made by General Mills and their subsidiaries. There are hundreds of products carrying these logos and all you have to do is cut them off the boxes or bags and deliver them to the school. We also get a percentage of each purchase for many stores affiliated with the Box Tops for Education program. There are far too many stores to list all of them but they include companies such as Apple, Barnes & Noble, Home Depot, Kohl's, Pottery Barn and Wal-Mart as well as magazines such as Higlights and Zoobooks. Please visit the Box Tops for Education Marketplace for a complete list and to start shopping. Note that you must register at their web site and start shopping from the Box Tops for Education marketplace (click the link for the desired retailer from the Box Tops for Education web site) in order for us to receive credit. Don't forget that Wal-Mart and other stores can ship products purchsed online to their local stores for pickup. This is a great way to do your gift shopping and help the school earn money in the process.

It is a simple way to help the school get money. Just cut off box tops from cereal boxes and other items. Put them in a zip up plastic bag and drop them off at the drop box at school.
